Alina Dayhome is located in Cranston, South East Calgary. It was established in October 2022 and licensed through Children Choice agency. We provide childcare for children from age 12 months to 5 years old and offer a safe and welcoming environment.
In our dayhome, children can enjoy learning experiences through play to fulfill their physical, social and emotional needs. They will learn, grow and be ready for school.
Our goal is to respect children, facilitate their learning and help them express their feelings by providing appropriate learning experiences. We value good listenning, communication skills, patience, and engagement. We also aim to promote self-esteem by providing opportunities to build trust, independence, and initiative during our daily routines.
Alina dayhome is operated by Aline who has a diploma of Early Childhood Education and Development from Bow Valley college (level 3 in accordance with the Early Learning and Child Care Regulation, Alberta). She also has a police clearance and a valid first aid certificate. In addition, she is trilingual, holds a degree in nursing, and has 6 years of experience with children as a preschool teacher.
We believe that play helps children learn new skills and develop in all domains including socially, emotionally, and cognitively. We also believe in the benefits of the cultural diversity and inclusion and respect differences. We welcome every child from different parts of the world.
We consider that creating an environment according to the physical, social and communication skills of the children would be fundamental for their learning.
Daily routine in home daycare helps kids develop self-discipline and gives them a sense of security.
It also helps educators to stick to healthy expectations for every child.
Please see our daily routine schedule for more details.
We serve fresh and healthy meals following the Canadian Food Guide recommendation.
We ask parents about food preferences, food allergies, and medical conditions, cultural or religious practices that concern food, and change our meals accordingly.

We use crayons, paints, play dough, and clay to make creative impressions, grasping toys, shape sorting game, pegging, small/medium/large blocks, beading, threading to enhance their fine motor skills.
Although younger children have more guided crafts they still have the opportunity to freely express themselves with numerous materials and art supplies.
We allow the children to play outside for a minimum of an hour a day. This allows them to build up their gross motor skills while getting a good amount of fresh air.
Exploring is what we do best, why is the sky blue, why are rocks hard, these are some of the questions we hear and solve together. Using many different materials we provide a great learning environment.
